greg garrison (dr. kaspar ogilvy & others)
is an Actor, Writer, and Producer from Savannah, GA with a decade of collaborations across the southeast under his belt. From his film series Dead By Midnight: 11 PM Central created by Atlanta-based MonsterBuster Entertainment to his series of Escape Rooms in the Chattanooga area, he lends his voice and creativity to shape projects in a variety of media. A graduate of Kennesaw State University, A War of the Worlds will be his first production with A Theater in the Dark, but his newest excursion with long time collaborator Corey Bradberry. Greg is thankful for the opportunity and hopes you all enjoy the show.
MACK GORDON (h.g. wells, co-Adapter)
is a professional theatre artist and cofounder of Theatre in the Dark. His work with the company includes writing and acting credits for Three Stories Up; A War of the Worlds; and A Christmas Carol in the Dark. He was also a featured performer in A White Whale. His work has been published in Discorder Magazine, Carte Blanche, and Speakeasy Theatre’s Pull Festival Anthology. His plays have been produced by ITSAZOO Productions (DEBTS, FIVE RED BALLOONS), Western Canada Theatre (THE BALLAD OF THE BURNING LADY), Upintheair Theatre (VISITORS), Alley Theatre (THREE STORIES UP) and Level-Headed Friends Productions (SIX FINE LINES; SHAKE THE SHEETS!; DEAD CELEBRITIES). He is a three-time writing contributor to Sum Theatre's Pull Festival and a four-time Jessie Richardson Theatre Award nominee. As an actor, Mack has worked with Chicago Dramatists as well as such Canadian companies as Bard on the Beach, The Arts Club, Carousel Theatre, Green Thumb, The Firehall Arts Centre, Pacific Theatre, and many others. ming hudson (the profesor & others)
returns to A WAR OF THE WORLDS after originating the role in 2020. Ming is a Vancouver based artist who works and pays rent on the lands stolen from the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. For over a decade, she has worked as a freelance performer, devised theatre creator, collaborative director, independent producer, and teaching artist in institutions on the west coast of Canada. She is a graduate of the Advanced Devising Practice program at LISPA (now arthaus.berlin), holds a MA in Ensemble Theatre (Rose Bruford), and a BFA in Acting (UVic). Select performing credits include: Noises Off and The Penelopiad (The Arts Club), Taming of the Shrew, Shakespeare in Love, Timon of Athens, and Lysistrata (Bard on the Beach), East Van Panto - Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (Theatre Replacement), Blisskrieg (Atomic Vaudeville), PostSecret: The Show (The Firehall Arts Centre), and Big Bad and Fall Away Home (Boca del Lupo).
elizabeth mccoy (isabel wells & others)
is pumped to return for this iteration of A WAR OF THE WORLDS, and to be back with A Theater in the Dark for the third time after performing as Ishmael in A WHITE WHALE and A WAR OF THE WORLDS (2020). She has made many appearances on stage and in film since receiving her B.F.A. in performance from the University of Southern Mississippi. Other credits include: SUDDENLY, LAST SUMMER with The Tennessee Williams Theatre Company, and A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE with Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre.
COREY BRADBERRY (director, co-adapter, producer)
is a Chicago director and performer, as well as a founding producer with A Theater in the Dark. He directed the in-person pitch-black THREE STORIES UP (2019) and led the pivot to virtual audio productions, directing THREE STORIES UP: LIVE! ON THE AIR, A WAR OF THE WORLDS (2020), and A WHITE WHALE OR MOBY DICK (2021) which won the Critic’s Choice Award at the Atlanta Audio Fringe Festival. Corey is a Kennedy Center National Directing Fellow and received the City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs’ Emerging Artist Award prior to graduate school. Corey has assistant directed with major theatre institutions including the Alliance Theatre, the Kennedy Center, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta History Center, and Chicago’s Second City; in addition to projects with smaller companies including Theatrical Outfit, Flying Carpet Theatre Company, and Artemisia. He has held teaching positions with the Alliance Theatre, University of Southern Mississippi, Kennesaw State University, the Swift School, Stagedoor Manor, and Atlanta Children’s Theatre; and currently teaches improvisation at The Second City. He is a graduate of the Second City Advanced Directing program, holds an MFA in Directing (Theatre), a BA in Theatre & Performance Studies, and has trained with the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre. www.coreybradberry.com
ben zucker (original sound/music)
practices acts of conceptual juxtaposition and experiential speculation, as an intentionally wide-ranging composer, audiovisual artist, and multi-instrumentalist. He has contributed to experimental music scenes of the Bay Area, Connecticut, London, Chicago, and beyond, working with musicians including Anthony Braxton, Matana Roberts, Myra Melford, Karen Borca, The Crossing, The Vocal Constructivists, Rinde Eckert, and the San Francisco Choral Artists, in addition to frequent performances as a soloist, bandleader, and ensemble contributor. His composed works have received awards and performances by ensembles including the Mivos Quartet, the Los Angeles Percussion Quartet, Khorikos, Ensemble Entropy, and the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players, as well as being performed at DOCNYC, the Darmstadt Fereinkurse, Art Omi, Trinity College Dublin, and the Banff Centre. He has been acclaimed as a "master of improvisation" (IMPOSE Magazine) and “more than a little bit remarkable” (Free Jazz Blog) for his solo albums combining brass, percussion, voice, and electronics, released on labels including Not Art Records, Dinzu Artefacts, Verz Imprint, and I Low You. He currently lives in Chicago, studying, performing, teaching, and organizing as a doctoral student at Northwestern University.
